CREATIVIA- the creative journey with Eszter (Sofa Harakiri)

Let me introduce you a fascinating & very talented artist and traveler in one… I had the pleasure to meet Eszter Drienyovszki this summer in a hostel in Budva (Montenegro) and got the chance to see into her beautiful soul. Be inspired by her great lifestyle & art-projectsbalkan-kleinEszter, a Hungarian girl is a traveler, living nowhere and everywhere right now, without any key, but with many open doors around. Currently she is on the way from Portugal to Japan, traveling on land or water. She is a graphic designer, working mainly for social change through design and animation. Right now working on her own art-project, called Sofa Harakiri, recording interviews while traveling in many languages, to turn people’s stories form all over the world into animated short films. Small backpack, big smile, great stories…

PicsArt_06-16-08.47.13.jpgAlthough she traveled a lot across Europe before, this time she wanted to try something different. As she is freelancing since three years, she just realized slowly that it really doesn’t matter where she is located, so there was a decision to go, and as she had no idea where, she decided to go everywhere. By the end of October 2015 she gave up her flat in Lisbon and started to walk for a couple of days in the south of Portugal to figure out what she is looking for. There was no solution, but at least she got a little stronger, and this walk helped her to leave behind her friends and everything else in Lisbon. This is all how it started and now she is on the road since one year, traveling mainly by hitchhiking  and she is more confident and balanced with herself than ever before…picsart_06-16-09-10-50The most common question people tend to ask her is, how is it possible to afford to travel that long. The answer is by leaving out using money as much as possible. „Wherever I go I find small hostels and guesthouses – mostly family businesses – where people have plenty of work to be done. I have time, and non of us has money, so we exchange – this is really that simple. Since I started most of the time I was working in exchange for accomodation in different hostels, what allowed me to stay in a place longer, get to know the area better, making friends, and see the places through local’s eyes. I really love the idea that the world can keep rolling by sharing and exchanging also. My work is mainly painting frescos, renovating furnitures or writing the blackboards – things I need to be present to do it, and makes a place more cozy. And more I’m doing, more passionate I’m getting about it.“ Check more >>> www.eyeror404.com
